TOP EXPERIENCE
Italian Green Road Award
The Ciclovia dei Parchi della Calabria has been awarded the Italian Oscar for Cycle Tourism 2021. First place ex aequo with the Autonomous Province of Trento.
"The reason for the victory was the Region's commitment to a project for the enhancement of sustainable tourism and slow mobility, focused on four wonderful and intact protected areas and on villages and towns that embody the spirit of Calabria. The Ciclovia dei Parchi is also a good example of integrated communication, thanks to the excellent organisation and the ability to present the route and the territory through the multilingual website and social channels".
ecotourism oscar
The 12th edition of the Legambiente award dedicated to the best experiences in Italy of sustainable, responsible and inclusive tourism, at the TTG in Rimini awarded the Calabria Parks Cycleway with the following motivation: ‘Created without the need for new road infrastructures, it offers a link between villages and naturalistic excellences in inland Italy, creating a positive tourist economy with a low environmental impact’.
